Scale Maker is an innovation training programme that Jacobs staff will participate in. It’s designed to help employees of Jacobs learn how to commercialise their innovative ideas to generate revenue for the business. It’s part of an ‘Innovation Greenhouse’ which is an internal programme designed to promote innovation within the business. The greenhouse element is what inspired the green colour scheme for this project.

The idea behind the visual language for this was inspired by scale, particularly in relation to ideas. The growing arrows are supposed to be inspiring and encourage the Jacobs staff to be ambitious and bold when coming up with ideas for generating business. On the other hand, the constant changing of visual scale could represent how Scale Maker can assist in taking a small idea and growing it into something powerful and strong.
