The Scotland Handbook for Higher Education Institutions is a collaborative publication, initiated by the University of Glasgow, and involving nine Scottish universities and art schools. Primarily a recruitment piece, the book introduces would-be international employees to the country, its culture, and the institutions themselves.

The format comprises 160 pages with a cover wrap, allowing each establishment the opportunity to brand the publication from the outset. Additional shorter books were produced to focus on each institution specifically.
